A Vision for the Future of Marina
SPEAKER: The Honorable Bruce Delgado, Mayor City of Marina
Bruce Delgado, Mayor of the City of Marina, will address “A Vision for
the Future of Marina.” Marina is the gateway to the Monterey Peninsula
and home to the Marina Coast Water District, which is planning a major
desalination facility to provide water for growth on the former Fort
Ord and the Peninsula. In the past several years, Marina has approved
over 4,400 residential units, but with changes in economic conditions
the City is reconsidering the design of one of its major projects.
Also on the City’s agenda is its relationship of the proposed light
rail system and transit-oriented development. Understanding how these
issues intersect will help us plan for our future.
COST: $18 per person for hot buffet lunch at 12 noon requires
